2008 Events

February 22 – Oaks Society and Life Care Cornerstone Society Reception.Invitations will be sent out to new and current members.  The Oaks Society is comprised of individuals that made gifts of $100 or more to Copeland/Crandall during 2007.  The Life Care Cornerstone Society is comprised of individuals that made gifts of $500 or more to Life Care during 2007.

July 28 – Life Care Golf Scramble at Alliance Country Club.  Our event last year at Salem Golf Club raised approximately $50,000 for the Life Care Fund.

August 22 & 23 – Copeland Family Legacy Weekend.  The weekend will begin with our traditional Legacy Society luncheon on Friday.  The Legacy Society is comprised of individuals that have made a charitable gift annuity or trust with the foundation and/or have indicated their intention to include Copeland/Crandall in their estate plans.  We are going to try something new this year.   We will have other events, workshops, and speakers scheduled for Friday evening and all of Saturday based on the lessons learned in Jim Stovall’s book, The Ultimate Gift.  We encourage you and members of your family to read the book prior to the family legacy weekend.  You will want to make every effort to have members of your family join you for what plans to be an exciting and meaningful family event.  You do not need to be a member of the Legacy Society to participate with your family in the weekend.

November 7 – Founder’s Day Celebration.  Our annual update of The Tree of Life and our presentation of Copeland’s Distinguished Service Award looks to be memorable this year as we celebrate the 45th anniversary of Copeland Oaks.
